Getting started

Net iD

Prepare Net iD Client, enroll smart cards and tokens, set up Net iD Access, and test authentication in the Showroom environment.

  1. Install Net iD Client and reboot the PC.
  2. Make sure the Net iD Client extension is enabled in your web browser.
  3. Add the Showroom site to the configuration.[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Pointsharp\NetiD\Client\Plugin\AllowURL]

2Login to Showroom Administration Portal

  1. Contact Pointsharp for first Officer token enrollment.
  2. Login using your newly enrolled token, smart card or YubiKey.

3Register new smart card

  1. Insert an empty smart card.
  2. Register the smart card.

4Enroll token - preparation

  1. Search for the user.
  2. Insert an empty registered smart card.
  3. Start enrollment of the primary card.

5Enroll token - smart card

  1. Search for the user.
  2. Insert an empty registered smart card.
  3. Enroll the primary card.
  4. Select token template.
  5. Enter a new PIN.
  6. Sign enrollment with the Officer certificate.

6Enroll Access - start

  1. User logs in with token to self-service.
  2. Enroll to Net iD Access.

7Enroll Access - sign

  1. User logs in with token to self-service.
  2. Enroll to Net iD Access.
  3. Approve terms and sign enrollment.

8Enroll Access - mobile app

  1. User logs in with token to self-service.
  2. Enroll to Net iD Access.
  3. Approve terms and sign enrollment.
  4. Install the Net iD Access app.
  5. Activate the Pointsharp Showroom connection. Add pointsharp.net manually by pressing Add connection.
  6. Enter OTP or scan the QR code with the mobile camera to continue enrollment.
  7. Enter a new PIN and enroll.

9Test Access Authentication - start

  1. Login to Office 365.
  2. Enter the user unique ID. The UPN is found in the Net iD Access app.

10Test Access Authentication - complete

  1. Login to Office 365.
  2. Enter the user unique ID. The UPN is found in the Net iD Access app.
  3. Select Net iD Access MFA as authentication.
  4. Enter PIN in the app.
  5. Logged in to Office 365.
